Came up with this one evening On a whim. 1 can of Staggs sirloin chili and one can of Trader joes chicken chili with beans. Added about half a bottle of Hefeweizen beer and about maybe about a half cup of water. I think next time ill start the recipe with beer instead of adding it as an afterthought near the end of the cooking.
I simmered the cHili for about an hour at least. I added these spices:
About 5 bay leaves
Some chili powder
Some chipotle powder
Some chipotle hot sauce
Some garlic powder
Some onion powder
Garnish with chopped chives & avocado
I dont remember if i added salt.
This is an easy comfort food, high protein meal that i’ll add to my repertoire. If you can afford the calories then garnish with sour cream.
